TETHA is an author, composer, performer, and producer. She began composing on the piano as a child, before turning to singing and songwriting at the age of 12, confirming her vocation at a very early age. Her adolescence, marked by personal and family trials and punctuated by hospitalization and dropping out of school, forged her sensitivity and determination. She found her place at a music school in Paris, where she founded a rock band that she led for four years, until it disbanded during the pandemic.
Rebirth as an artist under the name TETHA, short for Fiammetta, her middle name, became the obvious choice. Her music is pop tinged with hyperpop and electronic music, with a massive, textured sound and melodies that stick in your head. TETHA's writing touches the heart, carried by her masterful voice and meticulous pop production. It is raw, sensitive, sometimes dark, but delivered with detached calm and dry humor.
She released her first EP, Bound To Lose (2022), a record that recounts the end of her band and her transition to a solo career, which was both painful and liberating. She then signed with Musigamy, who have been supporting her ever since. Her second EP, BIAFINE ON MY SCARS (2024), is about resilience and healing. The EP racked up 500,000 streams and the track Pure Sadness was added to Spotify's Fresh Finds Pop (World) playlist. An artistic turning point then began after a necessary break with her family.
TETHA began composing in French, exploring a new dimension of her writing and asserting her voice in a more direct and personal way. Her first attempt hit the mark with her surprising French ballad version of the hit Scary Monsters and Nice Sprite. Skrillex himself suggested a full version after an initial post on social media. This brought her increased visibility on TikTok and encouraged this revolution.
On stage, she refocuses on herself, on synths and piano, offering an intense and physical live performance.
Today, TETHA continues her artistic evolution with writing in French, a shift she considers central to the future of the project. Inspired by her English-speaking influences (FKA Twigs, Billie Eilish, Eartheater, Oklou), she retains her massive and detailed productions while integrating her mother tongue. Her goal is clear: to continue writing, composing, and producing, both for herself and for other artists, and to assert her artistic identity with precision and strength.
