First EP to be released : early 2025
OKALI is a Cameroonian surname meaning ‘Look out for each other’. Like the painters of naive art, and wishing to remain within the realms of symbolism, OKALI composes without codes, in order to experience music in its most instinctive form. Through an aesthetic of suggestion, this project invokes the visible signs of a mysterious world, where images merge with melodies. It's a journey through Afro Trip Hop, dub and rock, with waves of guitar and embodied vocals as the beats of a sensitive music.
