Charles Aznavour, 1924 - 2024
Charles Aznavour, icon of French chanson, would have been 100 years old this year. Renowned for his talents as a singer, songwriter, composer and actor, Aznavour has marked several generations with his spellbinding melodies and chiseled lyrics. This year, his centenary, is an opportunity to pay tribute to his immense contribution to the world of art, music and jazz in particular.
To celebrate him, Jazz Magazine has brought together an exceptional line-up of musicians, including Dominique Fillon, a remarkable pianist and the rhythm section of his most recent tours, for a never-before-seen show. Aznavour wrote and performed over 1000 songs in several languages, including French, English, Spanish, Italian and German, but he also devoted some of his talent to jazz, both at the beginning and throughout his career.
Charles Aznavour, the multi-talented artist, continues to inspire new generations. His musical and artistic legacy remains undeniable, and his unmistakable voice continues to resonate through time.
