Directed by Tom Excell and with the collaboration of Fatoumata Diawara, Tom Excell, Edouard Coquard, Bruno Guglielmi, and his stage musicians (Nubiyan Twist, Onipa, David Walters, etc.), this opus “Happy People” features catchy melodies, Afro-pop rhythms, saxophone riffs evocative of the world of Mulatu Astatke, and the celestial sound of the k'mele ngoni, which dialogues with Siân's powerful yet delicate voice.
